Former AJGA member Matthew Harmon took home his first Hooters Tour win Sunday at the Texas Honing Open held at Golfcrest Country Club in Pearland, Texas. The Grand Rapids, Mich., native finished 15-under-par and seven shots ahead of the competition. The Texas Honing Open was Harmon’s second professional event and first win since joining the Hooters Tour earlier this year.

Former AJGA member Danny Lee of New Zealand, had a terrific weekend, telling Golfweek that he had “the biggest win of [his] whole life.” This weekend, the 18-year-old became the first player since Bubba Dickerson in 2001 to win both medal and match play at the Western Amateur Championship at Point O’Woods Golf and Country Club in Benton Harbour, Mich. Lee finished stroke play with a 12-under-par 268 tournament total, defeating fellow alum Erik Flores 4 & 2. Lee’s win moved him to the No. 1 spot in the Golfweek/Scratch Player World Amateur Rankings.
