Trader Joe's to Sponsor AJGA Tournament in Northern California

Trader Joe’s Junior Championship to be held July 7-10

Trader Joe’s, a neighborhood grocery store based in California, will sponsor an American Junior Golf Association event, the AJGA announced Friday.

The event – known as the Trader Joe’s Junior Championship – will be held at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton, Calif., July 7-10. The 99-player, 54-hole tournament will feature the nation’s top junior boys and girls, aged 12-18. A Junior-Am Fundraising Tournament, similar to the PGA TOUR’s Pro-Am, will be held Monday, July 7 at 1:30 p.m. The first round will be held on Tuesday, July 8, with the second and final rounds being held on Wednesday, July 9 and Thursday, July 10, respectively. Tee times will run each day from 7-11:48 a.m., off the No. 1 Tee.
