My Scotty Cameron Moment

Each week, the AJGA honors the boy and girl junior golfers who shoot the lowest round during the final tournament round. Each of these players will be presented with one of this year's new Scotty Cameron putter covers in silver or gold. In this feature, we will hear from the players each week who take home this honor and what helped them get there.

Junior All-Star at Harmony

"The ninth hole was the toughest one on the golf course and I made birdie on it both days," said Simin Feng, who shot a 4-under-par 68. "Today, I hit a 3-wood off the tee with the wind dead in my face. Then I hit a perfect 5-wood into the wind but the wind carried it just left of the hole. I had about 15 feet left and made the putt for birdie. It was my third of the day."

"I only had 24 putts today and it just seemed like everything was falling today," said Myles Lewis, who shot a 7-under-par 65 and win his first AJGA event. "On No. 8, I had around 50 feet left for birdie. It was a long putt, uphill with about a foot and a-half break from right to left. I knew it was going to be close when it was within six feet. It was on line, but I just wasn't sure if it would get there. It barely made it, but it dropped in for birdie."

Leadership Links

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
