K12 to Sponsor AJGA Qualifier Series in 2009

Leading national provider of online school programs will provide more than 5,000 opportunities to junior golfers

BRASELTON, Ga. — K12 Inc., the national leader in K-12 curriculum and online school programs, announced its sponsorship of the American Junior Golf Association’s qualifier series Monday, a partnership which will provide more than 5,000 playing opportunities to top junior golfers nationwide.

The K12 Qualifier Series offers 100 junior golfers, ages 12-18, national competition and the opportunity to compete for a selected number of spots in an AJGA open tournament field. Each 18-hole qualifier precedes one of approximately 50 Open tournaments, and ensures the strongest golfers vie for each AJGA trophy.

“K12 is proud to support the mission of the AJGA,” said Jeff Kwitowski, K12’s Vice President of Public Relations. “Both the AJGA and K12 are devoted to inspiring young men and women by providing exceptional opportunities for their development.”
