Amateur Round-up

The U.S. captured the Walker Cup, defeating Great Britain & Ireland 12 1/2 to 11 1/2. Jonathan Moore sealed the victory for the U.S. when he won his singles match over Nigel Edwards of Wales on the final hole of the event with an eagle. U.S. Amateur champion Colt Knostwhen 2-0-2 at Royal County Down, and Rickie Fowler and Billy Horschel both had 3-1 records. Webb Simpson, Trip Kuehne, Kyle Stanley, Dustin Johnson, Chris Kirk and Jamie Lovemark made up the rest of the winning team.

Professional Round-up

Tiger Woods won the 60th event of his professional career at the BMW Championship. Woods fired a tournament total 22-under-par 262, including a final-round 8-under-par 63. Woods is the FedEx Cup points leader heading into the final week of the PGA TOUR playoffs.

Arkansas' Stacy Lewis finished first at the LPGA NW Arkansas Championship. However, because the event was shorted to 18 holes (due to bad weather) it is not considered an official tournament and Lewis is not considered the official winner. Lewis shot a 7-under-par 65.
