Professional Round-up

Brandt Snedeker won his first PGA TOUR event Sunday at the Wyndham Championship after shooting a 9-under-par 63 in the final round. The rookie TOUR player finished at 22-under-par, two shots ahead of the field.

Lorena Ochoa earned her fifth victory of the season Sunday at the Canadian Women’s Open. She shot a final round 69 to leave her three shots in front of Paula Creamer.

Nick Flanagan shot a bogey-free 63 Sunday to earn his third Nationwide Tour victory. With this win, he earned an automatic promotion to the PGA TOUR. His 10-under-par 201 at the Xerox Classic was one shot better than the field.

The Captain’s Picks have been made for the 2007 President’s Cup and all twelve U.S. Team members are AJGA alumni. Tiger Woodsheadlines the team and will be joined by nine others looking to take home top honors. Jim Furyk, Phil Mickelson, Zach Johnson, Charles Howell III, David Toms, Scott Verplank, Steve Stricker, Stewart Cink and Woody Austin will travel to The Royal Montreal Golf Club in September. Captain’s Picks Lucas Glover and Hunter Mahan will round out the U.S. Team.

For the International Team, Captain’s Pick Mike Weir will be joined by fellow AJGA alums Rory Sabbatini and Trevor Immelman.
