Junior Round-up

MacKinzie Kline of Encinitas, Calif., received a sponsor exemption into the LPGA Tour's Ginn Tribute Hosted by Annika Sorenstam May 31-June 3, 2007. The 14-year-old, who has a rare heart condition that prevents her from walking long distances without becoming fatigued, will become the first player to ride a cart in an LPGA competition.

Spencer Cole won his second consecutive Verizon Junior Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, S.C., with a tournament total 4-under-par 139. Mina Harigae also won the Girls Division of the Verizon Junior Heritage with a 4-under-par 139.

College Round-up

UNLV won the PING Arizona Intercollegiate with a total 23-under-par 829 thanks to the efforts of C.J. Gatto, Jarred Texter, Eddie Olson and Ryan Kenney. Individually, Arizona fifth-year senior Brian Prouty won his first collegiate title. Prouty shot an opening-round 62 and followed it with rounds of 67 and 70 to finish at 14-under-par 199.
