Junior Round-up


2006 Rolex Junior All-America Player of the Year Esther Choe.

2006 Rolex Junior All-America Player of the Year Esther Choe of Scottsdale, Ariz., and reigning U.S. Women's Amateur champ Kimberly Kim of Quail Creek, Ariz., have been extended invitations to play at this year's LPGA Kraft Nabisco Championship. Held at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, Calif., the event is the LPGA's first major of the season. Former AJGA standouts Jennie Lee, Taylor Leon and Stacy Lewis also received invitations to play.

Professional Round-up

Tiger Woods started his year off on the right foot winning the Buick Invitational on Sunday. It was the seventh straight PGA TOUR win for two-time Rolex Junior Player of the Year. Jamie Lovemark, who gained entry into the event in the Monday qualifier, finished in a tie for 30th with rounds of 66-74-73-72 for a tournament total 285.

ACE

The Achieving Competitive Excellence (ACE) Grant program provides financial assistance to junior golfers who wish to play in AJGA events. Its goal is to give top-flight golf opportunities to young golfers regardless of financial resources. This program helps to fulfill the AJGA’s mission of developing young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf.
Leadership Links

What is Leadership Links?

Leadership Links is a new program whereby the AJGA is able to further its mission to help develop young men and women by teaching charitable giving skills and service-oriented practices at an early age. This program gives juniors all the tools necessary to donate their time, talent and resources to local charities and the AJGA youth development programs.
