Kimberly Kim of Pahoa, Hawaii, has been chosen to represent the U.S. at the Women's World Amateur Team Championship. She will be joined by AJGA alumnae Amanda Blumenherst and Jennie Lee.

AJGA alum Amanda Blumenherst

Kim recently became the youngest person to ever win the U.S. Women's Amateur. She was the runner-up at the U.S. Women's Amateur Public Links and also made the cut at the 2006 U.S. Women's Open. Kim, a two-time Rolex Junior All-American, won the 2004 I.R.I. Golf Group Tri-Cities Junior at Sun Willows. She also has five additional top-10 finishes in AJGA competition, including a tie for fifth at the 2006 Thunderbird International Junior at the Rolex Tournament of Champions. She was a member of the victorious 2005 U.S. PING Junior Solheim Cup Team and the 2006 Canon Cup West Team.

Blumenherst earned Player of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors in 2006 after her stellar freshman year at Duke. During her time with the AJGA, Blumenherst was a four-time Rolex Junior All-American with 10 AJGA wins on her resume. She was a four-time member of the Canon Cup West Team and participated on the 2003 U.S. PING Junior Solheim Cup Team.

AJGA alum Jennie Lee

Lee also had a successful freshman year at Duke where she finished second at the 2006 NCAA Division I Championship, which helped Duke win the team title. Lee also had a tremendous junior career with the AJGA where she finished with six AJGA titles. Lee, a four-time Rolex Junior All-American, was a three-time member of the Canon Cup West Team.

Chosen as alternates for the event are AJGA alumna Tiffany Joh and junior Mina Harigae of Monterey, Calif. The event will take place Oct. 18-22 at De Zalze Golf Club and Stellenbosch Golf Club in Stellenbosch, South Africa.
