Junior dies in car crash
It
is with a heavy heart that the AJGA reports the passing
of Bradley Johnson.
Johnson,
17, of Birmingham, Ala., died Saturday, March 25 at
the scene of a two-car accident in Shelby County, Ala.,
The Birmingham News reported.
According to police reports, Johnson was behind the
wheel of one of the vehicles involved in the crash.
There were passengers in the car with Johnson. They
were taken to the University of Alabama-Birmingham Hospital.
Johnson was a 2005 third-team Rolex Junior All-American
after a summer that saw him finish runner-up to Kevin
Tway at the U.S. Junior Amateur and 10th at the Rolex
Tournament of Champions.
He was most recently named The Birmingham News player
of the week March 17. The Spain High School junior carded
a 4-under-par 140, claiming medalist honors at the Joe
King Memorial Classic.

scholarship fund to be established through the Southern
