Gelber Group, LLC. has agreed to sponsor the American Junior Golf Association’s Midwest Junior Players Championship, the Association announced Thursday. This year’s event is slated for June 30 – July 3 at Grand Geneva Resort & Spa in Lake Geneva, Wis.
“We’re excited to help bring a premier AJGA tournament to the Midwest,” said Brian Gelber, president and chairman of The Gelber Group. “The event will give many talented players from the region the chance to showcase their skills at the national level.”
The 54-hole, stroke play event will feature 99 players from across the country and include dozens of talented juniors from the Midwest. An 18-hole qualifier for those players not in the tournament field will be held on June 29.
“Having a prestigious sponsor in The Gelber Group is going to take this event to the next level,” said Jason Etzen, AJGA executive vice president of development. “The tournament week is going to be a memorable one for all participants and their families.”
Gelber Group LLC., a Chicago-based professional trading firm, is entering its first year of AJGA sponsorship. Gelber’s customers include the most prestigious members of the professional community such as Wall Street institutions, international banks, hedge funds and independent professional traders.
